This issue in the realm of technology that affects many minorities. This issue also surfaces in some forms of social media with classism. Certain social media outlets are only designated for specific members of a social class and those who do not fall within that social class are on the outside looking in. This was the case for Facebook users when it first surfaced in 2007. Facebook was originally intended for college students because the user had to have a college email in order to sign up.
